About Replica
Replica ("repeat" or "copy") is a navigation instruction directing the performer to repeat a passage or section. In 18th-century orchestral practice, "senza replica" (without repeat) appeared when the composer or publisher wished to indicate that a customary repeat should be omitted — for instance, in a sonata-form exposition that would normally be played twice.
